Cikgu Zakaria Bin Mustafaha: sedang berucap di majlis akhir tahun Pra-Sekolah SK Balar 2011

Kami menjangkakan kedatangan Guru Besar baru dalam bulan 3 ataupun 4 tahun 2012, namun jangkaan kami meleset sama sekali. Guru Besar baru telahpun melaporkan diri beliau beberapa minggu sebelum sesi persekolahan 2011 melabuhkan tirainya.

Kesungguhan beliau mematuhi memo dan pekeliling yang diedarkan amat menyentuh perasaan kami. Walaupun masih lagi sedang menjalani rawatan di hospital beliau tidak banyak kerenah dan menunjukkan kesungguhan untuk menaikkan lagi prestasi SK Balar.

Di atas kesungguhan beliau untuk bersama kami menurunkan tirai sesi persekolah 2011, kami ucapkan tahniah dan terima kasih. Terima Kasih juga diucapkan kepada PPD Gua Musang dan JPN Kelantan kerana mengisi kerusi guru besar dengan kadar yang segera.

Kelantan Orang Asli Sports Festival

Kelantan OA Sports Festival is an annual gala organised to promote fun and holistic learning  to Orang Asli. It is an activity that gather all 11 Orang Asli schools in Kelantan to compete with one another healthily. This competition is also done to select athletes that will represent Kelantan to the National Orang Asli Sports Festival in Johor later.

SK Balar, this year has taken another leap by participating in this big event. As a matter of fact this was our first appearence on the field. For most of the teachers in Balar, this activity can introduce our students to the meaning of being competitive. We do realise there are a huge gap and differences between OA that live in Kuala Betis and our students, who live deep in the jungle. Through this activity, therefore, we hope to bring about a change in our students’ self-esteem.

The gala took two days and one night at SK Kuala Betis. A number of 32 students were brought out from the jungle to compete in various events. SK Balar participated in Handball (Male & Female), Football, Nasyeed and Track and Field events. Since this was our first debut we wished nothing rather than to see our students competatively compete with other schools. Medals for us is the second thing, the first thing is that they give a good fight to others. To our surprise, however, several of our athletes managed to grab medals and brought honours back to the school. Good Job guys!!!!

The night before the final day, we bought KFC for our students. You can see the smiles on each face, from ear to ear, so cute <3 (well, i remain the cold hearted teacher despite of all the cuteness around me).

The results of the events are as follows;Handball (Male and Female) = Semi Finale; Football Semi Finale; Nasyeed – Winner; Long Jump (Female) – winner; 200m (Female) – bronze; 100m (female)- Silver. We are so proud of you.

Next year WE WILL BE BACK and GRAB ALL THE MEDALS!!!!To all athletes that will represent Kelantan, best of luck!!! may Allah bless you.

The Road to Balar

The title sounds like you are going to the best place on the earth but actually you don’t (huhuhu). It’s November and it’s raining season in Kelantan. So this means, the road to school is getting challenging than before. Just like some teachers who think highly about their school, i myself also think only the greatest about mine. Have i ever mentioned to you about my weekly routine, which is to be in the The-Biggest-Loser-Like programme? Yes i did, i remember mentioning it somewhere in my FB (read: Facebook) shout out.

Imagine yourself pushing the EX5 through the 75KM slippery muddy road. At times you are pushing super-duper-sticking-on-the-ground motor going up the hills and at times you are holding to your motorcycle while it sliding down from the hill like you are holding to a train that falling down into a ravine. Voila… once you stand up, you realise you just colour some bruises onto your beloved body. That’s my biggest loser routine during raining days hahahaha.

Nevertheless, i think this is the best place for teaching. I know if my students can read, it is simply due to the hardwork that i put everyday; not because of tuition centre.

Anyway, the grand holiday is just around the corner but i should start preparing things that i want to do with my students  before the 2012 classes begin. Oh yes… to those who have been given green light to be in your new school… congrats!!!! ^^ I  might join you next 2 years (totally sure that next year’s competition to get out from Balar is highly intense).

Ps: to new teachers who will be posted to SK Balar… oh please don’t go to your fat and juicy cable to pull you out from this wonderful journey. You ask to become a teacher so fulfil your duty for just a couple of years.

Chak Rayak: Jamuan Akhir Tahun Pelajar Darjah 6, 2011

Tamat sahaja UPSR, guru-guru sepakat untuk mengadakan Jamuan Akhir tahun kepada pelajar-pelajar darjah 6, 2011. Kami namakan majlis ini sebagai CHAK RAYAK. Untuk pengatahuan pembaca semua, chak rayak merupakan bahasa kaum Temiar yang bermaksud 'makan besar'. UPSR Tamat, mereka telahpun memberikan yang terbaik. Kami berharap keputusan peperiksaan yang akan diumumkan nanti setanding dengan pencapaian percubaan mereka ataupun lebih hebat dari itu.

 

Ingin bertanya kepada isteri-isteri mereka di dalam gambar ini... adakah mereka rajin di rumah? hehehe

 

Memandangkan majoriti guru di SK Balar adalah lelaki, maka semua lelaki di SK Balar terpaksa belajar memasak... 

 Operasi memerap ayam... ayam serai dan ayam black-pepper

 

Operasi membakar bahan-bahan makanan (ayam dan ikan) bermula pada sebelah petang. 

 

Pada sebelah malam, Chak Rayak pun bermula..... 

Antara hidangan yang dihidangkan pada malam Chak Rayak: 2 Kek Secret Recipe, ayam panggang, ikan panggang, kentang goreng, nugget, bebola sotong dan udang, salad buah, coleslaw dan bihun singapura....   

 

Terima kasih kerana bersama SK Balar... semoga tahun hadapan di Sekolah Menengah, anda menjadi insan yang lebih berguna. Amin... 

Majlis Persaraan Guru Besar: Tn Hj Alwi Bin Omar

Assalamualaikum,
Setelah hampir 10 tahun berkhidmat, akhirnya, Tn Hj Alwi Bin Omar bersara. Majlis persaraan beliau telah di adakan secara gilang gemilang di SK Balar. Beliau merupakan guru yang pertama menyambut hari persaraan di dalam hutan Balar. Mari kita imbas kembali persiapan dan suasana sambutan yang berlangsung selama 2 hari di SK Balar.

 Para Kakitangan SK Balar bersiap siaga untuk menyambut ketibaan tetamu-tetamu. Masing masing lengkap berpakaian Baju Tradisional masyarakat Melayu.

 Cikgu Alwi bersama permaisuri beliau diraikan dengan pakaian pengantin corak bunga tabur.

 sesi bergambar pada hari yang ke-2. Semua warga SK Balar lengkap berpakaian formal dengan suit hitam. 

 10 tahun berkhidmat di Balar, memastikan SK Balar berada pada pentas yang setanding dengan sekolah-sekolah orang asli di luar sana. Terima kasih cikgu.
