Lend a hand

Recently we have heard many news regarding Indigenous people education from various community representatives; including KPM, JPN, PPD and NGOs. Whilst we are concerned of what is happening to their education, we the members of SK Balar can ensure you that education in this school is pitched at the maximum level. For that we have managed to maintain as one of the high performance schools amongst 11 indigenous schools in Kelantan. Alhamdulillah, in the recent UPSR test, we have managed to produce students with at least 5Cs.

Believe it or not, our aim is to help indigenous people to stand on their feet and play their part actively in contributing to the national development. To do so, we need more supports and help from different organizations. So far, however, little has stepped forward and offered their hands to us; or should we say none actually. We encourage more NGOs who are concerned with their education to step forward and offer education-based activities to them; and not karaoke competition. We as the school members welcome those action very much. We believe, team teaching between our school members + NGOs +PPD can make a difference to their learning experience.

NGOs, PPD, JPN, KPM, IPGM, Universities Researchers and School Teachers should change their mindset from 'What are the problems' to 'how to solve the problems'. Rather than trying to find mistakes, change it to finding solution on how to meet their needs.

TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

ps: any NGOs who are interested to help improving education in this school, please get in touch with our District Education Office.
